11+ Tuition
11+ Tutoring - Individual or Small Group
Learning is both structured and guided with each unique child through positive relationships and individualised training and study.
Teachers will advise, coach, guide and mentor each child, enabling them to build their confidence.
We aim to make learning enjoyable and fun whilst still providing challenge and success!
- Tuition can be 1:1 or in small groups (max 4) for a reduced hourly fee.
- Lessons can take place in your own home, the tutor’s home or other settings such as schools, libraries and community centres.
- Materials used in sessions are from leading suppliers and support the 11+ tests.
- Assessment carried out in the first lesson to enable a personalised plan to be developed. Tutors will advise parents on the level their child is working at and provide regular progress updates.
- Homework tasks to consolidate learning.
- Busy Brains Partnership Pact – agreement signed by us, parent and child.
- Registration fee includes a Busy Brains gift and covers admin costs.
11+ Workshops and Mock Tests
We offer a series of workshops to prepare and revise for the 11+ tests during the Summer term. The sessions each cover different aspects of the test. Your child can attend any or all of them, and also take up the opportunity to sit mock tests.

Our mock tests take the format of the actual 11+ exam that children will sit. The tests we use are written in the GL assessment style and include:
BUCKS: English and Verbal Reasoning; Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning
HERTS: Verbal Reasoning and Maths

HERTS 11+
Verbal Reasoning:
- 50 minutes
- 80 questions
Mathematics:
- 50 minutes
- 50- 60 questions (based on maths KS2 curriculum)
BUCKS 11+
English and Verbal Reasoning:
- 45 minutes
Numerical and Non-Verbal Reasoning:
- 45 minutes
11+ for Year 4
- Build confidence and improve comprehension, understanding and speed.
- Introduce test style questions.
- Focus on problem solving and reasoning.
- Improve techniques and strategies.
