My son is in Year 8. He has struggled at times at school, switching off when he has not had a good relationship with teachers. He started weekly lessons for English and Maths in September 2019. He is already benefiting and showing more confidence. My son has always needed a teacher who can encourage him and motivate him in order for him to benefit from learning. I am pleased to say that a good relationship was immediately established and he is enjoying these extra lessons and is always positive. As parents we are also kept up to speed with his progress. Busy Brains worked with a group of our Y2 children who were at risk of not meeting age related expectation in writing. Busy Brains carefully assessed the children, engaged in professional conversations with the class teachers and developed a 6 week intervention programme based on 2 hours intervention per week. Busy Brains professionalism, experience and passion for primary education shone through and the children they worked with very quickly became totally engaged with stimulating and relevant activities that were tailor made to the children’s needs. Their communication and delivery of feedback is particularly effective and as a result the children made outstanding progress. Paula engages with our daughter and uses games as well as formal learning combined so that it is fun to do. I send over the homework prepared by her School and Paula combines this with her own work.
